Terms of Service

What this is

Roushi is a knowledge layer for portfolio operators, operated by KumoKodo. It is in private beta. Access is by allow-list. Using it means you accept these terms.

Private beta, and what that honestly means

Beta is not a disclaimer we hide behind, but it does mean some real things:

  • Features can change or be removed without notice.
  • There is no uptime guarantee and no support SLA.
  • There may be bugs, including ones that affect stored data.
  • Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. We take backups, but during beta you should not treat Roushi as the only home for critical information.

Your account

You sign in with GitHub, and your access depends on being on the allow-list. Keep your GitHub account secure, since anyone who controls it controls your Roushi account. One account is for one person; do not share it. Tell us if you think it has been compromised.

Your content stays yours

Everything you put into Roushi — entities, notes, rules, goals, playbooks — remains yours. We claim no ownership.

You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store your content, index it, and send the relevant parts to the AI providers named in the Privacy Policy so the product can answer your questions. We do not use your content to train models, and we do not use it to build anything else.

What you put in

You are responsible for your content and for having the right to store it. Do not put in anything unlawful, anything infringing, or anyone else's personal data that you have no basis to hold.

Because your content is processed by third-party AI providers, treat Roushi as unsuitable for material that must never leave your own infrastructure — regulated client data, credentials, or secrets.

AI output

Roushi generates answers using language models. Those answers can be wrong, incomplete or confidently mistaken. Check anything that matters before relying on it, particularly for financial, legal or operational decisions. The output is a starting point, not an authority.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to reach another user's data, probe or break the service, scrape it automatically, resell access, or use it to build a competing product. We can suspend an account for any of that.

Price

Roushi is free during private beta. If it becomes paid, we will tell existing users before any charge and you will be able to decline and export your data.

Ending it

You can stop at any time and ask us to delete your account. We can suspend or end access if these terms are broken, or if we withdraw the beta. If we end your access for a reason other than your breach, we will give you a reasonable chance to export your content first.

No warranty, and limits

Roushi is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, KumoKodo is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost data or lost profits. Since the beta is free, our total liability is limited to what you have paid us, which is nothing, or one hundred US dollars, whichever is greater.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Before anyone involves a court, email us; almost everything can be resolved directly.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when. Continuing to use Roushi after a change means you accept it.
